Base Criteria Empty Base Criteria

Post by Jasper Tue May 31, 2011 9:16 pm

Instead of letting you all run free ;P we decided to keep it a bit challenging, and therefore have made a list of 50 base criteria that you must use along with your 50 themes. For each theme, you must pair it with one of these criteria. You can only use one criteria per theme, so that when you are finished, each criteria will have been used. You may mix and match the criteria and themes; you do not need to use them in any certain order, or with any certain theme. It's all up to you! We left the base criteria a bit vague so there's more variety among the bases you can choose, but felt we needed to safeguard against people using 50 tiny bases and so on. Razz

(check out the 2nd post in this thread for more specifically what we consider tiny-big)

Just so we're all on the same page:

  • If we say 'use a base that is *this*', we mean use a base that comes like that! Do not use a normal base, and edit it to be that way. That doesn't count.
  • If we say 'portrait base', we mean portrait base. Not a full-body base that you just chopped the torso off of.
  • If we ask you to use an unshaded base, technically you don't have to shade it, if your image isn't shaded (for whatever reason) but if you do shade the rest of your doll, you need to shade the base as well.
  • You are only obligated to stick to the one criteria you choose per theme. But, if you want to use a base, for one theme, that covers a few different criteria, that's fine too, as long as it covers the one you chose from the list as well.

Base Criteria Empty Re: Base Criteria

Alrighty, so here we have examples of what we mean by Tiny bases, Small bases, Medium bases, Standard bases, Large bases, and Big bases! These aren't set in stone, and they're super generalized, so there's obviously leeway for you to work with, but hopefully this helps a bit to clear up any confusion. Base Criteria 542709

The Questions thread is available for you if you want to ask about a base, or anything else.

Base Criteria 592780 YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THESE BASES! THEY'RE JUST EXAMPLES! Base Criteria 592780

(please ignore my horrid underwear scribbles XD
I did them in about 10 minutes just so I wouldn't be 'redistributing'...)
